I like some of the features in these homes by RKD Architects.
While "reading" through Luxe magazine, I was struck by a picture of a home (Waterstone) in western Colorado, designed by RKD Architects.
Oh sure, it has a bridge (actually two of them), but I like the way it fits into the (very unusual) lot. Lot #17 is nothing like the place where Waterstone sits, so I'm not looking for a house that looks like this. I just think it does a great job of fitting a "difficult" lot. I'm sure we'll love what Bob comes up with for #17.
So go to the RKD Projects page and look around. Yes, there all larger and more "exotic" than we're looking for, but several of them have a "feel" that I like. Poke around and check them all out, but there are two that stand out for me . . .
Waterstone: bridges, a great setting, and a virtual tour, too
Rocky Mountain Residence: I like the use of concrete, wood, and glass inside
Now we'll see what Karen thinks about these. I'm sure she'll contribute, too--especially about the kitchen in Waterstone . . .
