State Of The Art Systems Give You Complete Control, From Anywhere

Not only is this a contemporary home in terms of its design—but it's truly a modern home in a technological sense. With the exception of hovercrafts in the garage, this is the "house of the future" we all read about as children.

Here we will detail the various systems, of all kinds, that service the home. This is intended as a reference, listing the systems in no particular order.

• Three-story glass-enclosed elevator by Inclinator. Total weight limit is 500 pounds.
• TriangleTube Prestige gas-fired boiler. Heats liquid for seven zones of radiant (in-floor) heat and hot water tank.
• Beam central vacuum system with powered outlets throughout the house, including garage areas.
• Honeywell Energy Efficient whole house fresh heat exchange and air ventilation system.
• Generac 60kW natural gas-fueled generator. Should power fail, automatic switch delivers enough electricity for the entire home, then turns off when utility power is restored.
• Ethernet and internet service. The entire house is wired for Ethernet networking, with a high-speed switch/hub. Current high-speed internet service is provided by Skybeam (wireless, not cellular) and Qwest (DSL). Both wired and wireless networking is installed.
• NetStreams Musica controller distributes up to four audio sources to six rooms.
• NetStreams Panorama controller distributes video to five rooms. Currently the following sources are being streamed: three Dish Network satellite television DVR's, Apple TV, and security cameras. All video selection is controlled by four Universal Remote Control handheld remotes.
• Monitored ADT PremisePro security system. Sensors on all ground-level doors plus motion detectors and flood detector. System can be armed or disarmed locally or remotely.
• Speco DVR8TN recorder and eight security cameras. Live and recorded footage can be viewed on TV's in the house, and on computers or smartphones anywhere on the internet.
• Computer-controlled lighting and heating by Vantage Controls. Most lighting is programmed and controlled from a variety of keypads, touchscreens, computers, and smartphones. Dimming levels are preset and easily changed. Lighting and heating levels can be changed from anywhere on the internet, using computers or phones.
